China’s ZhuiYi to invest $1.3 million in R&D centre at Great Stone

MINSK - China’s ZhuiYi Technology, which specializes in artificial intelligence studies, will invest $1.3 million in the Research and Development Centre, which will be established at the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone, a ZhuiYi official told PrimePress.

“The R&D centre is expected to become a research base for attracting local talent in the field of artificial intelligence and for cooperation with local research institutions,” the ZhuiYi official told PrimePress.

As previously reported, in the framework of the Belt and Road Forum for Regional Cooperation and Development on July 2, ZhuiYi Technology became a Great Stone resident with an investment project in the field of storage and processing of big data for the development of artificial intelligence technologies.

The Great Stone Industrial Park is based in Smolevichi Rayon (Minsk Oblast), where a special economic area will be established on an area of 112.5 sq km subject to special legal regulations for a period of 50 years. The industrial park will host business projects in electronics, biomedicine, fine chemistry and mechanical engineering, which resident companies enjoying lucrative tax preferences. To become a Great Stone resident, the applicant supposed to offer an investment project worth at least $5m ($500,000 for R&D projects).

So far 55 companies from 10 countries have been registered as residents at the Great Stone Park.
