10 February 2015

MINSK (BelTA) – President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko urged to step up efforts to implement the project to construct the China-Belarus Industrial Park as he heard out a report about the progress in the construction of the park on 10 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state believes that it is essential to accelerate the construction of the facility. He emphasized that the Chinese side views this project as one of the most important projects in the Belarusian-Chinese relations.

The President deems it necessary to step up efforts to create the park taking into account the fact that the meeting with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping will take place this year.

“I would like to listen to the report about the progress in the establishment of the industrial park. When will we start to build hi-tech facilities that will have an impact on the image of the Belarusian economy there?” Alexander Lukashenko asked.
