Belarus takes part in Harbin International Trade and Economic Fair

MINSK (BelTA) - Belarusian enterprises took part in the 24th Harbin International Trade and Economic Fair, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.

Belarus’ collective stand organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to the People's Republic of China and the Industry Ministry featured Minsk Tractor Works, Gomselmash, Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park and the Belneftekhim Shanghai Trading Company.

The Harbin fair was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the PRC Viktor Burya, and Deputy Industry Minister of Belarus Pavel Utyupin.

Viktor Burya had talks with Secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee Wang Xiankui, Harbin Mayor Song Xibin. Working meetings were held with Deputy Governor of Heilongjiang Province Sun Yao, Deputy Mayor of Harbin Nie Yunling. The parties discussed development of relations in the joint production of agricultural equipment, participation of local companies in the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park project and creation of a joint trading company.

The Belarusian delegation visited the Belarusian-Chinese companies that produce harvesters and tractors, including the agricultural mechanical engineering joint venture Harbin Dong Jin Gomel and Harbin Dong Jin Minsk Tractor Co. The Belarusian delegation and the management of the Dong Jin Group Corporation discussed cooperation issues, including new promising areas.
