Belarus, China to sign strategic partnership roadmap in early 2014

MINSK (BelTA) – Belarus-China all-round strategic partnership roadmap may be signed in early 2014, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Gong Jianwei said as he met with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko on 10 December, BelTA has learnt.

According to the diplomat, the draft roadmap is almost ready for signing. “We are gearing up for the forthcoming visit of Belarusian Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich to China at the beginning of 2014. The document will be signed during the visit,” the Chinese diplomat said.

Gong Jianwei stressed that during his diplomatic mission Belarus had become a home country to him. He stressed that he had been able to achieve good results in political, trade, economic, sci-tech and other sectors. But there are still a lot of ideas that will be implemented by the next Chinese Ambassador to Belarus, he added.

Vladimir Andreichenko congratulated the Ambassador on a successful completion of his diplomatic mission and stressed that Gong Jianwei had done a lot for the development of Belarus-China relations. “We have always felt the support of China, Chinese MPs in international organizations, international parliamentary organizations,” the Belarusian Speaker said. According to Vladimir Andreichenko, the agreements reached at the highest level are being implemented. The Chairman of the House of Representatives noted that Belarus applauds to China’s achievements, its hardworking and talented people thanks to whom the country has become one of the key players in the international arena.
