The Government of Belarus will provide loan guarantees to the Export-Import Bank of China that granted an $80.728 million loan to Belarusian Railways. The guarantees will also extend to interest payment and other associated payments. This decision was formalized by Council of Ministers’ Resolution No.629 as of 15 July 2013, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian government.

Belarus and China signed documents pertaining to cooperation in the field of education and culture in China’s Beijing on 17 July, BelTA has learnt.

One-section electric locomotives will be supplied by China to Belarus within 21 months, the press service of the railway operator Belarusian Railways told BelTA.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko expects support from the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in promoting cooperation between Belarus and the People’s Republic of China. The Belarusian President made this statement as he met with Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Yu Zhengsheng on 17 July, BelTA has learnt.

Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology Igor Voitov and Senior Vice President in ZTE Corporation Zhang Renjun have signed a memorandum of understanding to implement an investment project to create a smart system to monitor logistics flows, BelTA learned from Yuri Lukashevich, Aide to the Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus.

Chinese investors might implement projects to start the production of solar modules and to build a photovoltaic power plant in the Free Economic Zone Mogilev. Relevant memoranda were signed in Beijing, BelTA learned.

Belarus and China can implement construction projects worth $1 billion in the next five to seven years, Belarus’ Minister of Architecture and Construction Anatoly Nichkasov told media, BelTA learned.

Belarus and China are discussing the possibility of the establishment of a joint export-import and investment company, Belarusian Vice Premier Anatoly Tozik said at a meeting with Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Zhang Wei in Beijing on 17 July, BelTA has learnt.
