Brest Oblast of Belarus and Hubei Province of China are developing twin relations and have signed a cooperation agreement for 2014-2020, BelTA has learnt from the Belarusian Embassy in the People’s Republic of China.

The works to build the internal infrastructure of the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park are to be finished in 2014, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Piotr Prokopovich said at a joint session of the Council of the Republic and the House of Representatives of the National Assembly on 20 December, BelTA has learnt.

Belarus plans to take part in an international trade exhibition in the Chinese city of Suifenhe in August 2014, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Belarus in China.

Chinese company Huawei shows interest in opening its R&D center in Belarus. The issue and a number of other matters have been brought to the highlight of the meeting between representatives of Huawei Company and Vice Premier of Belarus Anatoly Tozik, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian government.

Belarus and China should cooperate more tightly in banking. The opinion was voiced by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Gong Jianwei at the meeting with Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Anatoly Rubinov on 11 December. The meeting was timed to the end of the Chinese diplomat’s diplomatic mission in Belarus, BelTA has learned.

Belarus and China lack direct air service, Chairman of the National Assembly of Belarus Anatoly Rubinov said as he met with Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belarus Gong Jianwei to mark the end of his diplomatic mission in the country, BelTA learned.

Belarus-China all-round strategic partnership roadmap may be signed in early 2014, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Gong Jianwei said as he met with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko on 10 December, BelTA has learnt.

Relations between Belarus and the People's Republic of China have been developing rapidly and are very successful, Belarus’ Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Gong Jianwei over the completion of the diplomat’s term in office in Belarus, BelTA has learned.

Relations between Belarus and China deserve the highest appreciation. The countries have achieved significant results, yet they have quite a great potential for further development of bilateral cooperation, including in science and technology, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Gong Jianwei told reporters, BelTA has learned.

China intends to fulfill all the agreements with Belarus that were reached during the visit of Alexander Lukashenko to Beijing in July 2013. The statement was made by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Gong Jianwei as he met with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 5 December, BelTA has learned.
