Belarusian Industry Ministry, Chinese Huawei ink cooperation agreement

BEIJING (BelTA) – The Belarusian Industry Ministry and the Chinese company Huawei Technologies have signed an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation. The ceremony took place at the Embassy of Belarus in Beijing, BelTA has learned.
The document was signed after a meeting of Belarusian Deputy Industry Minister Gennady Svidersky and Huawei Vice President Shi Yanlun. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Viktor Burya took part in the meeting.
The sides discussed cooperation in ongoing projects, expansion of scientific and technical partnership in the development and assimilation of modern innovative solutions.
Huawei was founded in 1988. Headquartered in the free economic zone Shenzhen, it is now one of the world’s biggest vendors of telecom equipment for wireline, mobile and optical network operators.
While in China Gennady Svidersky met with Vice President of Inspur Corporation Zhang Dun. The corporation is a leading supplier of standardized computer platforms, a developer of IT solutions, one of China’s biggest vendors of server equipment.
The sides shared views regarding future cooperation in cloud computing, the use of cloud computing in the organizations run by the Belarusian Industry Ministry, the possibility of creating joint enterprises to make computer equipment and LEDs in the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park.
