China shows interest in Belarus engineering, logistics projects

MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – Chinese businessmen are showing interest in Belarusian projects in engineering, metalwork and logistics. Belarus-China cooperation was discussed at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 9 June, BelTA has learnt.
During a matchmaking session Chinese businessmen were able to discuss a possible purchase of Belarusian timber and sales of pipe fitting. Representatives of the economy committee of the Minsk oblast executive committee and the Chinese committee for international trade assistance launched the talks on constructing a cardiological department of the Minsk district hospital on a grant basis. They also discussed the turn-key construction of transport speed lines in Minsk.
The Chinese delegation comprised representatives of companies and organizations including the Beijing subcommittee of the Chinese committee for international trade assistance. They have come to Belarus to study the country’s investment potential and find projects for cooperation.
The visit of the delegation of the People’s Republic of China was organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
