BelAZ signs $33m contract with China

MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – BelAZ has concluded a $33 million contract for the supply of dump trucks to China, BelTA learned from director general of the company Piotr Parkhomchik who took part in the work of the Belarusian-Chinese Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation.
“The contract was concluded on 27 June. BelAZ will supply approximately 25 trucks with the carrying capacity of 220 tonnes to China,” the director general said. The Belarusian company has won a tender to supply dump trucks to China.
In October 2010 BelAZ intends to launch an assembly production in a suburb of Beijing. The new production facility will assemble dump trucks with the carrying capacity of 30, 45, 55 and 130 tonnes.
