Belarus, Lithuania, China intend to sign agreement on transport corridor

The transport ministers of Belarus, Lithuania and China will discuss the cooperation in developing the transport network in Europe and Asia in Vilnius on 19 October. During the meeting, the sides intend to sign the trilateral agreement on setting up the overland transport corridor via Lithuania, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and China, BelTA learnt from Irina Sklepovich, a representative of the communications department of the Lithuanian Ministry of Transport and Communications.
On 19-20 October, Vilnius will host the ASEM Transport Ministers' Meeting. Minister of Transport and Communications of Belarus Ivan Shcherbo will take part in the meeting. Transport ministers from 40 countries, ASEM members, will attend this forum.
Taking part in the forum will be more than 200 representatives of the leading transport companies of Europe and Asia. The aim of the forum is to set up the new transport policy: the facilitation of possibilities and conditions for transportation of transit freights between Europe and Asia, simplification and unification of border and customs procedures of various countries.
