Vice Premier of the State Council of China Hui Liangyu is expected to visit Belarus on 28 August, BelTA learnt from representatives of the Chinese embassy in Belarus.

Belarus and China have agreed the terms of the loan for the upgrade of the Belarusian cement plants, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Viktor Burya said during a session of the Council of Ministers on 28 July.

The potential of investment cooperation with the People’s Republic of China and attraction of Chinese credit resources is used by Belarus insufficiently. Such an opinion was voiced by A. Tozik, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to China during the meeting with the President of the Republic of Belarus.

The Belarusian Autoworks will invest 25 million Yuan (about $3.6 million) in the authorized capital of a Belarusian-Chinese joint venture to manufacture dump trucks in China. The relevant resolution was adopted by the Council of Ministers on 9 July 2009, BelTA learnt from the Office of the Council of Ministers.

The cooperation between Belarus and China has reached a brand new level, said Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Aleinik at the opening of the Belarus-China trade and economic forum on June 15.

Chinese companies are interested in expanding the cooperation with Belarus in construction, power engineering, machinery construction, the chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Wan Jifei, said at the opening of the Belarusian-Chinese trade and economic forum.

A contact and cooperation exchange for Belarusian and Chinese businessmen will be organized in Minsk on June 9, BelTA learnt from the Business Education Centre of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

A regulatory framework to implement an agreement between the Chinese Exim Bank and the Belarusian government on granting a $142.46 mln.  buyer credit for construction of a line to manufacture clinker by dry method and coal preparation section at  “Krasnoselskstroymaterialy” JSC was created, BELTA learnt at the Belarusian Council of Ministers.

Free economic zone (FEZ) of Mogilev has registered a new resident – a foreign private industrial unitary enterprise “MasterCap”, founded by a China company, - the administration of the FEZ informs.

The construction of new cement lines at the three cement plants in Belarus will be launched in second half of 2009. Thus, the plants will start utilizing the Chinese loans then too, BelTA learnt from the department for the industry of construction materials of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction of Belarus.
