Belarus’ state-run distillery Minsk-Kristall has shipped the first batch of vodka, amounting to 1,100 decaliters, to China.

“The talks were supervised by the Chinese Embassy in Belarus. The first batch was shipped in accordance with the schedule,” the official said.

The contract was inked in December 2007.

   

In 2007 in this country  were produced  276 tonnes of  gold. By the way more than one hundred  years ago  the leader in this branch  was considered to be South Africa but only 272 tonnes of gold were produced there last year.

China is the largest producer of  white metal, lead and zinc in the world.Also China is among first  ten countries  producers of oil, nickel and silver.Prices for gold  on the 14th of January overcame 900$ for the troy.At the beginning of 2000 it cost 270$.

  

Belarus’ state-run Pilot Plant Neman, based in the Grodno Region, plans in 2008 to conclude license agreements with Italy’s Cacciamali and a company from Chinese Changchun to make small-capacity buses.

Neman will produce CCJ6660D buses on Iveco chassis under the contract with Cacciamali.

The company decided to enter new markets with competitive products, as the domestic requirement, estimated at 800 buses annually, may be covered by MAZ alone.

The Belarussian cement plants have signed  contracts  with China’ s «CITIK».The contracts envisage  the construction of new cement-making lines.

On the 9th of January in the city of Minsk the Central banks of Belarus and China have signed a protocol of expectancies on the use of national currencies – RMB (Yuan) and Belarus ruble -   in interbank settlements on bilateral trade transactions – BELTA was told by a source in the information department of the Belarus Central bank .

By now the Export and Import bank of China has already wired the amount of more than $10 mln. for reconstruction project of Minsk TES-2 – told deputy energy minister of Belarus Mikhail Mikhadiyk to a Belta reporter.

Belarus and China possess large potential for the development of economic, trade and investment relations. Such viewpoint was voiced at the meeting on the 8th of January held by the president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and the chairman of the People’s bank of China Zhou Syaochuan, the press-center of Belarusian leader revealed to BELTA.

The official opening of Belarus Trade and Industry Chamber (BelTPP) representative office in Beijing will take place on the 22nd of January – reported BelTPP’s foreign relations department head Gennady Chemerko to BELTA observer.

A delegation of the People’s Bank of China led by Governor Zhou Xiaochuan is expected to pay a visit to Belarus on January 8-9, the National Bank of Belarus (NBB) said in a statement.

The Chinese delegation will meet with the chairman of the NBB, Petr Prokopovich, and visit the NBB depository and sights in Minsk.

According to the NBB, collaboration between the central banks is spurred by the deepening of trade and economic relations between Belarus and China.
