The future in cooperation with China is behind large joint ventures

Minsk and China should unite efforts for successful promotion of production on the world markets. It was declared on November, 22nd by the vice-chairman of Mingorispolkom Michael Titenkov at grand opening of Minsk Days in Changchun.

Infrastructure and logistics is highly developed in Minsk, there is a lot of qualified workers and engineers, high quality scientific schools. Economy dynamically develops and foreign investments are reliably protected, said Michael Titenkov. Minsk and China is closely related, there is mutually advantageous cooperation in the most different areas - from mechanical engineering and power engineering to education, culture and sports. In this year mutual commodity circulation between Minsk and China has grown almost twice. However, in opinion of the vice-chairman of the Mingorispolkom it is not enough just to trade. "We should look ahead, and future is behind the large coproductions ", - he has emphasized.

For the moment its only 18 joint ventures in Minsk with total authorized capital less then $1 million. In this connection vice-chairman of Mingorispolkom has noted, that they are waiting for arrival of large Chinese business. He has reminded that China has won tender for modernization of the Minsk thermal power station-2. This is the first serious project in power branch. Chinese company "Medea" has carried on negotiations for creation of coproduction of home appliances. The volume of output can reach $2 billion a year. Michael Titenkov has stated interest in creation of joint ventures not only in Minsk, but also in Changchun.

Today the aspiration to create high technology production and goods with the high added cost is precisely designated. "We are simply obliged to develop, rely first of all on the scientific potential. Especially as Changchun is scientific and technical capital of China, and Minsk is the center of Belarus science ", - Michael Titenkov has told.

As a whole, vice-chairman of Mingorispolkom has expressed hope, that Minsk Days in this Chinese city will bring powerful contribution to development of mutual relations, and also will give a good impulse to the further development of cooperation.
