Marketing department of PC “Horizont” informed journalist of BelTA that Joint venture, made by PC “Horizont” and Chinese Media Group Holding, will start producing home appliances in second half of 2008.

In November 2007 Gomselmash will start testing new combine harvesters equipped with the Chinese engines, BelTA learnt from Valery Zhmailok, the director general of the production association.

According to him, in August 2007 Gomselmash and the Chinese Yuncheng Yili Trade Co. signed an agreement on setting up an assembly facility in China to produce УЭС-2-280 universal power-intensive vehicles, which will be used as implements for КСН-6-3 beet harvesters. The vehicles will be equipped with China-made engines.

The representatives of Media Group visited the sheet-making line 150mm of NPO «Integral»has told deputy the head of NPO «Integral» Dmitriy Vecher.During the visit the parties have discussed  the organization of integral microchips for PC « Horizont».

NPO «Integral» is one of the large producers in working out and manufacture of micro-components with 40th years experience in this branch.The company includes 4 project centres and 6 plants.Nomenclature of product mix includes 500 types of semi-conductors,2000 types of integral microchips,150 forms of electric appliances.

Belarus and China will sign agreements under the trade and economic cooperation has told the Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorski at the with the heads of the Belarussian-Chinese bilateral commission for trade economic cooperation – Zenon Lomat and Yui Guanzhou .

The Republic of Belarus is intended to discuss the project of testing the sea containers with China has announced the first vice-prime Vladimir Semashko at the meeting of the Belarussian-Chinese bilateral commission for trade and economic cooperation.

As he said that this task was very actual as for Belarus as other countries of CIS. In the world’s trade is used more than 50% of the sea containers in carriage of goods. In Belarus it at the rate of 0,5%.He continued  that the using of the sea containers grew annually for  40-50%.As a result, he has stressed that Belarus  is intended to use this type of carriage with maximum.

Chinese equipment necessary to remodel Minsk Cogeneration Plant No 2 will be imported with no duties, First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko told a session of the Belarusian-Chinese Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation.

He remarked, a draft presidential decree had been prepared to give customs privileges to the equipment to be imported to upgrade Minsk Cogeneration Plant No 2.

Belarus has suggested to China that loan insurance against government guarantees should be cancelled. The statement was made at a session of the Belarusian-Chinese Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation by Zenon Lomat, Chairman of the Commission, head of the State Control Committee of Belarus.

Belarus initiates signing of an agreement on customs and tax preferences with China, First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko stated at the session of the Belarusian-Chinese intergovernmental commission for trade-economic cooperation in Minsk on October 26.

He noted that the parties could pass the agreement by the end of the year and start implementing it in 2008. Customs and tax preferences in trade between Belarus and China will boost the bilateral turnover.

China will be an investor of modernization of Belarus cement works.Such agreement was signed between the Ministry of Building and Architecture of Belarus and the Ministry of Trade of China.It has been told by the minister of building and architecture Alexander Seleznev  at the meeting of the Belarussian-Chinese bilateral commission for trade and economic cooperation.

He noticed that there had been problems on loan insurance in investment of modernization cement works but to his mind the reconstruction of cement works was the project with minimum of risk.He suggested that we should consider the possibility of cancelling the insurance of loans.He remarked it would positively 
influence  the credit and investment cooperation.

Belarus and China are going to sign contracts for the construction of 6 plants to produce hardboard and fiberboard in Belarus. The cost of the projects is around $140 million. The Belarusian-Chinese Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation is discussing this issue on October 26.

The sides are finishing the talks regarding the construction of a plant to produce bleached pulp in Belarus. The cost of the project is about $200 million.
